After last year’s sell out run of Wonderland, Clare McGarry is back with a brand new festive show for 3-5 year olds about a special mountain goat called Little Ulla. Read more …
Little Ulla is a mountain goat. Just like all the other little goats, she likes jumping in the snow and the ticking sound of clocks, rolling down the hill and scoffing apple strudel!
But Little Ulla is no ordinary mountain goat, her unusual horn makes her different from the others. Something magical is about to happen and her life will change forever.
Little Ulla is a 50 minute interactive Christmas Show specially created for little ones, with puppets, music and song.
The intimacy of the space, as well as the two performers’ confidence when facing the occasional child who fancies strolling on to the stage, lends a familiarity to the proceedings. Little Ulla introduces young people to theatre as a safe, playful event.
The plot, as such, could be written on a postage stamp: the show's considerable charm is in the thoughtful details that enrich the Alpine-influenced set (complete with pom pom snowballs dangling from the ceiling) and the way in which [Clare] McGarry and Steven Rae, who plays the other characters, create a friendly interaction with the children.
A show which proves beyond a sparkle of doubt that the magic of old-fashioned postal delivery can still capture the imaginations of tiny tots.
