Fee Fi Fo Fun - get ready for an adventure of Giant proportions at Perth's traditional family pantomime. Read more …
Poor Jack; his mum is embarrassing, his brother is daft, his beloved cow has run off and the princess he fancies doesn't even know his name. But Jack's problems are about to get much, MUCH bigger. The local giant is hungry and he wants cow and princess for tea!
With your help and a bit of magic and fun he can put all his troubles BEHIND HIM. But if things are going to end happily ever after, he is going to need all your shouting and cheering and a fair bit of singing along too!
So warm up your voices and join Jack and friends for a hilarious family pantomime in the perfect traditional setting of Perth Theatre - an essential part of a Perthshire family Christmas.
If the whole show sometimes looks like a crash-course in the art of coarse panto, though – fairy’s wings falling off, Barrie Hunter’s raunchy Dame literally feeling her way into the role – Andrew Panton’s production radiates real panto spirit, and an exciting sense of promise, as it pulls together a new panto team for new times.
Alan McHugh's script was typically inventive, the production had real flair and offered audiences a super-charged, fun-packed new approach to an old familiar tale. Panto can go forward, to infinity and beyond.
This is certainly one of the best-ever contributions to the festive entertainment scene in Perth. It is loud, brash and with a hint of naughtiness that delights all ages.
