All in all, it’s a fun-filled adventure for all the ages, a true Pavilion panto.
What emerges from the wings is a raggle-taggle assortment of scenes in search of a script...Davidson is the comic equivalent of the philosopher’s stone. And to watch him turn leaden gambits into nuggets of waggish hilarity – bringing out the true prankster in Dean Park’s Dame or putting a drolly villainous twist on his own Hook – is a pleasure that compensates for much that is lacking elsewhere.
