The critical consensus

The end result is a patchwork polemic not lacking in celebrating the diversity of being human – but one with as many troughs as peaks. As the season's opener however, it's a thought-provoking and entertaining start. Not sure about the homage-to-chips finale, right enough.

Although it’s not dramatic, it is fun; as if the Oran Mor audience had been invited not to a show, but rather to the far-from-solemn mass of a brand new religion, one which tries to combine the need for spirituality with a celebration of desire in all its forms, and of true sensual joy.
