Count Me In

Part of NTS's Reveal season

Gary McNair can't get his head around politics. Read more …

Have you ever stopped to really think about it? Not just left or right, red or blue, but how it came about in the first place and how the whole system works?

In his latest one man show, Gary McNair investigates how we all live in a political system that none of us signed up to, we were just born into it.

Do we just have to like it or lump it? Or can we do something about it?

Make sure you're there because every vote counts. Or does it?

The critical consensus

As witty as it is, McNair over-eggs his simple premise with an over-reliance on high-tech gadgetry when a simple hand in the air would suffice.

Neil Cooper, The Herald, 07/03/2011

A light hearted and exceptionally witty show that delves deep into the reasons for government and democracy without being boring or preachy.

****(*)Amy Taylor, The Journal, 15/03/2011

There's no doubt that "Count Me In" is entertaining, but the overwhelming feeling we were left with was of a missed opportunity to really attack the flaws that exist in UK politics.
