Allan, Andy & Grant lead the cast in another unmissable King’s Theatre extravaganza!
It might not be one for the history books, but this Cinderella is a blast from start to finish, and it’s next to impossible to argue with that.
It was great entertainment, nearly two hours of good old-fashioned laugh-out-loud pleasure. You don’t need to be a child to enjoy this panto. It’s great fun for adults too.
If you’re looking for a fun night out with the family, Cinderella is the definition of a crowd-pleaser. Pop songs, dance numbers, and plenty of audience participation leave the audience feeling completely satisfied – and a lot more Christmassy than when they came in.
More plot-driven and less reliant on effects than many of recent years. It also lacks some of the more interactive elements of panto, but for sheer fun and laughter it scores very highly indeed.
The production quality is immeasurable for a pantomime, usually noted for their quirky charm regardless of budget. Here the glitz and glam really sell the show. Costumes galore, oh, and the fireworks, the Hogmanay street party could learn a thing or two from tonight’s spectacle.
Two hours of Fairy Tale magic and pure dead brilliant entertainment for all the family, from age 4 to 94.
Add a touch of romance, a few re-worked pop tunes, clever audience interaction and once again, the King's panto has us looking forward to the 2018/19 show already.
The Edinburgh panto trio of Allan Stewart, Andy Gray and Grant Stott have never twinkled more brightly than they do in this year’s sparkling version of Cinderella.
The production proceeds at such a lick that it is easy to overlook the odd shortcoming.
All in all, a hugely entertaining show which has much for all the family, and serves to set expectations high for the more unusual choice of Beauty and the Beast next year.
