Twists and turns in the script ensure the audience both hoots with mirth and leap out of their seats in terror.
Like an extended episode of Inside No 9 as directed by Ryan Murphy, Levin’s post-modern high-jinks are plotted like a well-oiled if somewhat eccentric machine programmed to surprise the audience and raise the stakes as high as you like.
Watching McKnight’s lovingly crafted production is as enjoyable as a ride on a ghost train and ultimately just as disposable.
As amusing as it is satisfying.
It's furious, funny and juicy.
Deathtrap is an incredibly well structured, acted and staged play that constantly raises questions and keeps the momentum of fear and humour rolling over the entire run time.
