Hartshorn – Hook Productions, Selladoor Worldwide and Broadway Asia Company in association with The Watermill Theatre present Amélie. A story of an astonishing young woman who lives quietly in the world, but loudly in her mind. She secretly improvises small, but extraordinary acts of kindness that bring happiness to those around her. But when a chance at love comes her way, Amélie realises that to find her own contentment she’ll have to risk everything and say what’s in her heart.
The arrival of the kind-hearted and introverted Parisian on the UK stage is a magical and emotional triumph of adaptation.
Clever staging and warm performances make this adaptation of Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s film a visual treat.
Peppered with emotion and fizzing with energy, the touring production of Amélie the Musical...is the sort of treat which gives musical theatre a good name.
Lost souls in need of having their faith restored in the power of love to transcend pretty much everything could do worse than make a date of it. For anyone else besides, it's still a dream come true.
A work of great beauty and charm.
From the crash of thunder and lightning that launches the show to the final flashing lights of the centre stage photo booth, this musical will make you want to walk into the world of Amélie and never leave.
Take advice from Amélie, leave the confines of boredom, dive into imagination and treat yourself to something magical.
A wonderful adaptation that preserves Amelie’s eccentric imagination while adding its own original touch.
The infinitely talented cast, led by the lovely Audrey Brisson as Amelie, certainly deserved every moment of the loving and rapturous ovation they received.
