The Kist tells the musical story of the Scots - from the tribal rhythms of the Gael to the upbeat music of today.
Though each performer is clad in plaid, there’s no ersatz Scotland here. The harmonies are soaring, the songs powerful, and the gently didactic lessons in migrant history are well timed.
The Kist is an entertaining and rousing evening of song and spirit, punctuated with some fantastically funny monologues on the Scottish mentality and on the people who packed their chests full of their aspirations and set off on a journey to shape the new world.
