Man to Man is based on the true story of an extraordinary young woman who, by means of disguise and other forms of artifice, attempts to hold on to her late husband’s job during the Great Depression. The critical consensus

The body of this feels more like Sunday supplement true-life tittle-tattle. Dodds begins to explore the script's questions of identity but doesn’t take them anywhere. And finally the whole piece falls away in a long, tedious ending that adds nothing.
